Passing Time

A small interactive experience that takes inspiration from analog horror tropes without horror elements as well as The Caretakers 'Everywhere at The End of Time', a musical project that follows themes of memory loss and passing time. I was also thinking of my own loss of memories, knowing some events happened only through photos or my family telling me about them.

The premise is pretty simple, you are sat in front of a VHS player, clicking the tape will play a different video on the screen depending on the time of your system, having a video for each hour in a day.

Why is This an Unconventional Display of Time?

Unlike a regular clock showing numerals, instead each video is associated with a time. It also focuses on aspects of life, growing up from a child to getting old. We forget a lot of things we did the more time passes by, memories get distorted or completely forgotten which is what I wanted to focus on mainly for this project.

Bugs

• There is a bug with the video that is supposed to play at 23:00 (11 PM) will not be visible, I have tried to fix it but it will not work.
• The outline around the tape will still show when hovered over and pressed.
